Better school newsletters without a steep price tag.
As parents ourselves, we want Ecko to be within reach of as many schools as possible. That means offering a genuinely useful service at a price that feels fair, sustainable and realistic for school budgets.
We know that if you currently create your newsletter using a free tool such as Canva or Word, paying anything for a dedicated platform can feel like a big ask. We’ve kept the price as low as we reasonably can while still being able to provide a reliable service, ongoing improvements and friendly, human support. In return, Ecko saves staff time every time they create a newsletter and gives families something that’s easier, more useful and more enjoyable to read.
Ecko’s straightforward pricing means you don’t need to decode complicated feature tables or upgrade when you hit some arbitrary limitation.
Every Ecko subscription comes with everything:
Unlimited stories and editions
Unlimited image and document uploads
Term dates and inset day calendar feed
Accessible, WCAG 2.2-compliant newsletters
Set-up, customisation and branding included

Frequently asked questions.
Everything you need to run Ecko for your school, including hosting, ongoing updates and support. There are no complicated pricing tiers and no features guarded behind additional paywalls.
Yes. Support is included, so if you need help using Ecko, something is not working properly, or you just need pointing in the right direction, we’ve got you covered. We also provide extensive, easy-to-understand written documentation via our docs portal, accessible from within Ecko itself.
Each school has its own Ecko subscription and newsletter, with its own branding, users and content. If you’re signing up several schools as part of a trust, federation or other group of schools, select Multi-school on the pricing page to see the discounted price for the number of schools you need.
Select Multi-school on the pricing calculator and choose the number of schools you’d like to include. We’ll show the discounted annual price for each school and the total cost for the whole group.
Each school gets its own Ecko newsletter, with its own branding, users and content. We can also include an additional newsletter for trust-wide, federation-wide or group-wide news.
You can create as many stories and editions as you need, and upload the images and documents that go with them, without running into artificial limits or being pushed onto a higher plan. Ecko is built to be a practical, straightforward tool for one school’s newsletter, not something where you have to keep an eye on counters or quotas all the time.
That said, we want to be transparent that “unlimited” is subject to a common-sense fair usage policy as described in our Terms of Use. In plain English, that just means using Ecko in the normal way it is intended to be used: publishing newsletters for your school.
After you sign up, we’ll contact you to arrange payment. You can pay by bank transfer, BACS Direct Debit, or debit or credit card through our secure payment portal.
We can also raise an invoice and include a purchase order number if required. Ecko may already be set up as an approved supplier on your finance system. If not, we can provide a supplier information form with everything you need.
Unless you tell us otherwise, we’ll assume you want to renew your subscription annually. (I mean, why wouldn’t you!)
If you pay by card or Direct Debit, you can set-up automatic payments when you first sign-up. If you pay by bank transfer or purchase order, we’ll send you a renewal invoice in advance. We’ll also contact you before renewal so there’s plenty of time to arrange payment or let us know if you’d like to cancel.
We think you’ll definitely want to renew, but we have no interest in trying to lock or force users into a subscription they don’t want or need. You’ll get no nefarious tactics from us.
Running Ecko involves ongoing costs for secure hosting, maintenance, support and continued development. Charging a straightforward low-cost subscription allows us to provide a reliable service and friendly, human support without relying on advertising or finding other ways to make money from your data.
We don’t sell personal data, use your school’s content to train AI models or anything like that. Ecko is funded by the schools that use it, which means we can stay focused on making newsletters quicker for staff to create and better for families to read.
